Japanese glutathione brands (Zaguta, Shirayuki and more): what clinics should know

Zaguta, Shirayuki, Shiro, NC24, Tatio Active DX and Japan Platinum: what Japan-labelled glutathione packs contain and how clinics should evaluate them.

5 min read··Esthelix Global

Walk into almost any aesthetic clinic in an Indian metro and you will hear patients ask for "the Japanese one". Japanese-labelled glutathione brands have built a strong reputation among Indian buyers, partly because of Japan's broader image for quality in skincare. But the category is more varied than the label suggests, and clinics should look past the flag on the box before deciding what to stock.

This guide covers the Japan-labelled glutathione brands on the Esthelix catalogue, how their packs differ and what to check when buying. It is a purchasing guide only; suitability and administration are decisions for a qualified doctor.

What "Japan (as labelled)" means

On Esthelix, you will see these products listed with an origin of "Japan (as labelled)". We use that wording deliberately. It records what is printed on the packaging. It is not a certification by us of where every component was manufactured. When you receive a pack, the batch number, expiry and manufacturer details printed on the box are what matter, and we share batch photos on request.

The brands

Zaguta

Zaguta is one of the most requested Japanese-labelled names. Esthelix lists three Zaguta products:

  • Zaguta 600 mg, 10 sessions (10 powder vials + 10 ampoules)
  • Zaguta 1200 mg, 10 sessions (10 powder vials + 10 ampoules)
  • Zaguta Japan 600000 mg, a higher-tier pack as printed

The 600 mg and 1200 mg boxes are straightforward kits with a clear session count, which makes them easy to price per session for patients.

Shirayuki

Shirayuki ("white snow" in Japanese) is another well-known name. Esthelix lists:

  • Shira Yuki skin whitening injection
  • Shirayuki Japan 180000 mg

Shiro

Shiro packs are listed in three versions: Shiro Advance, Shiro Advanced 5000 mg and Shiro Pro Drip 5000 mg. The "Pro Drip" name indicates a different kit configuration from the standard Advanced pack, so check the pack size on the product page.

NC24

NC24 is the broadest Japanese-labelled range in the catalogue, with eleven listings. These include:

  • The Nano Concentrated Pro line (50000 mg and 90000 mg)
  • Ultra PDRN Miracle (280000 mg)
  • Sakura Special Edition (800000 mg)
  • Ultra Sense Complexion (9000000 mg)
  • Other packs at 90000 mg, 280000 mg, 800000 mg, 9000000 mg and 22000000 mg

NC24 also appears in the weight-management category as NC24 Lipolytic Solution, which is a different product type altogether. Make sure your team does not confuse the two when ordering.

Tatio Active DX and Japan Platinum

  • Tatio Active DX 12g, a 5-session pack
  • Japan Platinum, a 10-session pack

Reading the numbers on Japanese-labelled packs

As with other glutathione brands, the large figures printed on these boxes (90000 mg, 800000 mg, 9000000 mg and so on) are brand designations. They are not standardised across manufacturers and are not a reliable basis for comparing products. The practical comparison for a clinic is:

  1. What is physically in the box (vials, ampoules, any additional components)?
  2. How many sessions is the box labelled for?
  3. What does it cost per session at the tier you will buy?

Matching a patient's request to the right box

Patients rarely quote a full product name. They might say "Zaguta" or show a photo from social media. Before ordering, match three things against the product page: the brand name, the printed number and the session count. With NC24 in particular, several packs share similar artwork, so a careful match avoids the wrong box arriving.

Why clinics stock Japanese-labelled brands

  • Patient demand. Many patients ask for Japanese brands specifically, so having one or two in stock helps with conversion.
  • Clear session-based kits. Brands like Zaguta are sold as tidy 10-session boxes, which makes package pricing simple.
  • Menu variety. A clinic can offer a Japanese-labelled option next to a Korean reduced-glutathione option and a premium multi-component kit, giving patients a choice of price points.

Japanese-labelled vs Korean-labelled: a buyer's view

Clinics often weigh Japanese-labelled kits against Korean products such as Luthione or Cindella. From a purchasing point of view, the differences tend to be:

  • Presentation. Japanese-labelled brands are usually sold as branded multi-session kits; many Korean products are plainer, pharmaceutical-style packs.
  • Label clarity. Plainly labelled Korean products often state a straightforward amount per vial, which can make like-for-like comparison easier.
  • Patient perception. Some patients prefer one country of origin over another, and that preference is a legitimate commercial factor.

Many clinics simply keep one of each so the doctor and patient can choose.

What to check before you buy

The popularity of Japanese-labelled brands also makes them attractive to counterfeiters. Before paying any supplier:

  • Confirm the outer pack is sealed and undamaged.
  • Check that batch numbers match across the box, vials and ampoules.
  • Ask for the expiry date and make sure it suits your expected usage.
  • Request batch photos for larger orders.
  • Agree the full cost, including GST and delivery, in advance.

Esthelix confirms stock, batch, expiry, GST and delivery charges with you on WhatsApp before payment.
