How to buy aesthetic products wholesale in India (and avoid fakes)
A practical checklist for clinics buying fillers, skin boosters and glutathione wholesale in India: pricing tiers, paperwork and spotting counterfeits.

Buying aesthetic products wholesale can make a real difference to a clinic's margins. It can also be one of the riskiest purchasing decisions a practice makes. Fillers, skin boosters, glutathione kits and lipolytics are all high-value, high-demand products, which makes them prime targets for counterfeiting and grey-market reselling. This guide is a practical checklist for buying well: understanding wholesale pricing, setting up a reliable buying process and spotting fakes before they reach your treatment room.
Part 1: Understanding wholesale pricing
Tiered pricing
Most aesthetic wholesalers price by quantity. At Esthelix every product carries three tiers:
- 1–4 units (retail)
- 5–9 units (wholesale)
- 10+ units (best price)
The tiers apply per product, so it pays to look at which of your regular products you are close to a price break on.
What should be in the quoted price
A clean quote should make the following clear before you pay:
- Unit price at your tier
- GST
- Delivery charges to your location
- Total payable
If a supplier will not confirm GST and delivery up front, or adds charges after payment, treat that as a warning sign.
Price-per-session, not price-per-box
For glutathione and booster kits, boxes come in very different session counts. Divide by sessions to compare fairly. For fillers, compare per syringe and per ml.
Be wary of the cheapest price
If one seller is far cheaper than everyone else on a premium brand, ask why. Common reasons include short expiry, damaged or resealed packs, parallel imports with unclear history, or outright counterfeits.
Part 2: Setting up a reliable buying process
Keep a short approved-product list
Decide which brands and exact variants your clinic uses, and record the full product name as printed (for example, Restylane Lyft Lidocaine 1 ml rather than "Restylane"). This prevents staff from ordering a similar-looking but different product.
Nominate one person to place orders
One point of contact means fewer duplicate orders and clearer records of batches received.
Order against a usage forecast
Look at last month's appointments by product, add your expected growth, and order to cover a sensible period without pushing stock close to expiry.
Keep records
Note the batch number and expiry of every pack you receive. If you ever have a question about a product, these details are what the supplier and manufacturer will need.
Part 3: How to spot fakes
Counterfeit aesthetic products have become more convincing over time. No single check is foolproof, but together these catch most problems.
Packaging checks
- Seals and shrink-wrap should be intact and factory-applied, not loose or re-glued.
- Print quality should be sharp. Blurry logos, uneven colours and misaligned text are common in copies.
- Spelling and language. Look carefully at the brand name, product name and leaflet text. Small misspellings are a red flag.
- Leaflets should be present where the original product includes one.
Batch and expiry checks
- The batch number and expiry date should be printed (not handwritten or stickered over) on the outer box.
- The same batch details should appear on the inner components: syringes, vials and ampoules.
- Be cautious of stickers covering original print.
Product checks
- Syringe and vial appearance should match the brand's standard presentation.
- Contents should match what the box describes: number of syringes, vials, ampoules and needles.
Supplier checks
- Will the supplier share batch photos before payment?
- Do they confirm stock, batch and expiry in writing?
- Do they agree the full cost before payment?
- Do they ask whether you are a licensed practitioner or registered business? A supplier willing to sell injectables to anyone is not following basic good practice.
Quick checklist table
| Check | What good looks like | Red flag |
|---|---|---|
| Price | In line with other reputable suppliers | Dramatically cheaper than the market |
| Seal | Intact, factory-applied | Loose, re-glued or missing |
| Batch / expiry | Printed, matching inside and out | Missing, stickered or mismatched |
| Print quality | Sharp, consistent | Blurry, misspelt |
| Supplier transparency | Batch photos and full cost before payment | Pressure to pay first |
| Buyer verification | Supplies licensed buyers only | Sells injectables to anyone |
Part 4: Product categories that need extra care
- Premium HA fillers (Restylane, Juvederm) and premium boosters (Profhilo, Rejuran) are frequent counterfeit targets because of their value.
- Glutathione kits have very similar packaging across variants, which makes it easy to receive the wrong product as well as a fake one.
- Lipolytic solutions are heavily copied, and some products online have no traceable maker at all.
What to do if something looks wrong
If a pack arrives with a broken seal, mismatched batch numbers or anything else that concerns you, do not use it. Photograph the outer box, the seal and the batch details straight away and contact your supplier before opening anything further. Clear photos make any query far quicker to resolve.
Part 5: Licences and responsibility
Injectables, fillers and lipolytics are for administration by qualified professionals. At Esthelix we supply these only to licensed practitioners and registered businesses. If you are a patient looking for a treatment, please consult a qualified doctor rather than buying products yourself.
